International fitness industry meets at largest FIBO of all times

Düsseldorf/ Essen. More exhibitors, more surface area and even more service: right on time for its 25th anniversary, the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health is presenting itself in absolute top form. From Europe, the USA, Asia and even Australia – companies from all over the world showcase their new products at FIBO in Essen from 22 to 25 April. And once again the trade show is cracking a former record: for the first time, FIBO organiser Reed Exhibitions Deutschland expects more than 530 exhibitors from 38 countries. A tremendous achievement, according to Hans Muench, Director for Europe of the International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA): “Due to the economic crisis, the fitness industry’s European trade fairs are currently going through quite a difficult period, including, in some cases, severe losses in exhibitor and trade visitor numbers. In contrast, FIBO is not only standing its ground, it is even growing despite difficult conditions." |

Wellness and Beauty at FIBO: New ideas for body, mind and spirit

Düsseldorf/ Essen. Health is a great favourite at FIBO, and with it the health promoting spa and wellness segment. In Hall 2 of the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health, this year’s visitors will find a varied range of exhibitors from this field, as well as experts who give explanations and answers on various questions from the industry. This will be rounded off by a seminar programme to accompany the trade show.

The most comprehensive overview of what the international fitness industry has to offer on the topic of health maintenance and physical fitness will be shown at the Leading International Trade Show for Fitness, Wellness and Health, FIBO, which will be held from 22 to 25 April in Essen. For 25 years now, more than 50,000 visitors from 60 countries have flocked to the Essen Exhibition Centre every year. For the big anniversary, the leading industry trade show presents itself in top shape and showcases an even more diverse range of products and services, taking up the entire Essen Exhibition Centre. In addition to fitness, wellness and weight training, health themes now increasingly come into focus. |

Düsseldorf/ Essen. Ärzte, Physiotherapeuten, Reha-Kliniken, Versicherungsgesellschaften und viele mehr: Für die FIBO sind die Akteure des Gesundheitsmarktes eine wichtige Zielgruppe geworden. Seit Jahren schon zieht die Messe verstärkt Aussteller und Besucher aus diesem Bereich an. Mit dem neuen Konzept FIBOmed präsentiert sich die FIBO einmal mehr als Schnittstelle zwischen Fitnessbranche und Gesundheitsmarkt. Dass das Thema Prävention eine große Rolle spielt, merken vor allem die Physiotherapeuten, die dies als weiteres Standbein für sich entdecken. Denn zunehmend mehr Bundesbürger tun auch privat etwas für ihre Gesundheit und greifen dafür verstärkt in die eigene Tasche.

FIBO FINDER as an online-database offers a complete product- and supplier-overview which enables business-customers all year to search for product lines and distributors as well as getting in touch directly with the suppliers.

Essen. Hale and hearty instead of ailing, resistant to crisis rather than battered by the economic situation: with record sales, new all-time highs and an unbroken boom in the fitness and health sector, FIBO 2009 presented itself at its best. A nine percent increase in exhibitor numbers, a growth of three percent in visitor numbers and a remarkably high willingness to invest characterised the course of the leading international trade show for fitness, well¬ness and health. Altogether the organisers, Reed Exhibitions Deutsch¬land GmbH, registered a new exhibitor record with 517 exhibitors (+ 9,1% compared to the previous year) and good growth rates in visitor numbers with 48,800 visitors (+ 3,2%). |
